Foundation of the Road Construction Company "Ing. Hellmuth SWIETELSKY" in Gmunden. Initial activities are road construction and paving.
1937:
Relocation to Linz.
1938:
Initial operation of company's own asphalt mixing plant
1939:
Beginning of Railroad Construction in the area of Vienna, implementation of subsidiary in Vienna.
1941:
Foundation of "Kontinentale Bau" in Vienna for assignments abroad.
1945:
After the war there is an almost completely new start. The company is growing rapidly and the services offered are extended to most area of construction in the following 30 years. Furthermore, subsidiaries are founded in all provinces of Austria.
1957:
The one-man-business becomes a "Ges.m.b.H. & Co.KG" (limited liability company) and belongs to the five largest construction companies in the private sector.
1962:
SWIETELSKY founds a subsidiary company located in Munich with branches in Traunstein and Emmerting.
1965:
Senator DI. Hellmuth SWIETELSKY is elected "Man of the Year" by the International Road Federation, Washington D.C.
1974:
Authorisation for the central laboratory in St. Martin to operate as "state-authorised material testing laboratory". Project oversight in Mauretania, Camerun and the former USSR earned the laboratory international reputation.
1975:
Founding of "Hoch-Tief-Bau Imst" (structural-civil and underground-engineering construction company) and awarding of the "National Coat of Arms".
1987:
Change of legal corporate structure to SWIETELSKY Baugesellschaft m.b.H. (Swietelsky Construction Company Ltd.)
1989:
In the following 10 years subsidiaries are founded in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia.
2000:
Founding of subsisidiary in Poland. On March 8th, 2000, SWIETELSKY Bauges.m.b.H. receives the quality management certificate acc. to EN ISO 9001 : 2000.
2001 to 2005:
Purchase of 100 % shares of further construction companies such as
